When I was a little kid I was absolutely OBSESSED over skateboarding and skateboard culture. I was a huge fan of all things Powell and especially Tony Hawk. One time, I even (accidentally) recorded a skateboard video over my moms childhood home movies. One thing I thought was awesome about skateboard culture was the style – these guys used to wear Jordan 1s and Dunks to skate in wayyyyy before anyone actually made skateboarding shoes. One of my favorite movies from that era, ‘The Search for Animal Chin’ features a bunch of different Nikes from the late 80s and if you pay close enough attention, you can see where Nike and Lance Mountain found the inspiration behind the Lance Mountain Jordan SBs.
