Sittin back scrolling through social media, I started thinking about the things about the sneaker world that just grind my gears. I’m assuming this happens in all fields, all interest groups, all areas of all aspects of life…I was trying to think of the things that absolutely KILL me about the sneaker world. You can call these my ‘pet peeves’.⁣

First up – I really am not interested in what @pjtucker or @champagnepapi or @djkhaled has on their feet or in their closet. Not in the least. I don’t give a damn at all. I don’t know if it was @corgishoe or @digglahhh who said it – but, while having a billion dollars seems to be quite difficult and quite impressive, buying everything you ever wanted with all of that money doesn’t seem all that interesting to me. ⁣

Oh, wow. Some rich guy bought a pair of Air Mags for $30k. It must be so hard to go into a store and drop less than your daily earnings on a pair of shoes. ⁣

How about this dude who was struggling to pay his rent who found THE SAME PAIR at a consignment shop for $350? (Swipe to see the post) now THATS something I find interesting.

From what I’ve seen – and it’s not much – not ONE of those dudes seems to have a unique collection…its all the same ‘grails’. Not ONE of those dudes has anything that the next one on the list doesn’t have or couldn’t buy if he wanted to. ⁣

What’s dope to me are those who do this for the fun of it. Not for those who carry Amex black cards and can buy whatever it is that they want without a second guess. ⁣

The guys with collections that I find interesting…people who searched high and low and had to decide whether or not they were going to make the sacrifice necessary to buy a pair of shoes – which sometimes was the difference between eating meals for the day vs. not. ⁣

How do y’all feel about Another mans shoe closet?
