(3/3) Not that I will be purchasing any, but you really can’t get any better than these Giannis ‘Coming to America’ shoes – every single one ties back to the movie in a unique way. Although I’m not a huge fan of the silhouette, the concept is it spot on. I’m wondering why I find a certain nostalgia or affinity to these particular sneakers and not others…like…if there were a Dumb and Dumber colorway would I give a damn? If it were a Mutt Cutts colorway – or the whole damn car – would it matter? ⁣

I was trying to think of why these really struck me as something dope and psychologically, I’m assuming it hits the same pleasure centers in my brain as the good memories associated with what resonates. I’ve probably mockingly sang the Sexual Chocolate hit ‘Soul Glo’ song a thousand times and every time I had a big ass smile on my face. Nike did another great job at materializing a song – how exactly does one materialize a song? Once again, I’m not all that interested in the silhouette, but throw this on one of my favorites – a late 90’s/early 00’s air max – and I’d be all over it. It’d be a home run. Add some ‘hair’ to it and you’ve got a grand slam. ⁣
