(cont’d from last post). I tried cleaning the scuff off, to no avail, and I tried wearing them a couple of times, but couldn’t find any clothes I owned that felt did them justice. So I sold them. For $225. After I sold them, though, I kept looking for them and all I kept seeing was super overpriced pairs…$350-$400. And I wasn’t even all sure of the sizing. ⁣⁣

So those Air Mowabbs came out in like 2015 or 2016, and they *kind of* pacified me. I happened to be walking my firstborn in a stroller up and down Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley one day and took a quick dip into @bowsandarrows and those familiar colors just caught my eye. I dropped $180 retail + tax on them immediately without hesitation (I was also operating off a very small amount of sleep) and regretted it on the walk home. ⁣

I wore them a couple of times, but one thing I didn’t know about the Air Mowabb was that it had NOTHING on the Air Huarache comfort-wise. I purchased another pair – the Chocolate Brown/Purple pair (another Air Huarache Mowabb colorway) – and they fit *way* bigger than the first pair. Such a pain in the ass. I was not impressed. Seriously those Air Mowabbs are one of the *least* comfortable Nikes I think I’ve ever put on. The little sock thing wasn’t snug enough and the soles were super stiff and not pliable. I think I wore both of them a grand total of 5 times before grading and selling them. ⁣

That being said – that colorway of the Air Mowabb that dropped last week – a sick OG colorway but I have no interest in getting anywhere near that silhouette again. It’d be nice if that colorway made their way to a Huarache…⁣
