After we had been dating for roughly 9 years, my wife and I got married in July of 2012. I met her a month after moving to New York in September of 2003 and we have been together ever since… Being that we were on the east coast for several years and a large part of her family lives in the Caribbean, it was a relatively easy decision to have our destination wedding in Jamaica.⁣

As such, we spent a good 2-3 months looking for the perfect suit. The one we went with was a nice, cream colored linen suit, which was breathable (a big deal for me as I knew standing in the Jamaican sun for a ceremony was going to be brutal), but based on the style at the time it was a bit baggy…(not a great look now). After we chose the suit, we both knew that the shoes for myself and my groomsmen would have to reflect the sneaker obsession I’ve always had, so we went and spent an even longer time looking for the right shoes. I’d say we tried close to 11 different pairs of shoes before deciding on these brogue style chestnut Zoom Janoski SB mids. And yes, those pics on the bottom are from my actual wedding day. ⁣

I haven’t worn them before nor after that day, but they obviously hold a special place in my heart….⁣
