So In honor of my buddy’s contest #tssgrailbox (WHICH YOU ALL SHOULD ENTER B/C HE GIVING AWAY A COUPLE BOXES TO STORE YOUR SHOES FOR YOU SNEAKERHEADS!) I thought I’d give a little story about the recent purchase I just made. This is a brief story of why The @ari Menthol 10 sneakers are my holy grail of the sneaker world. So to start off when these sneakers came out I was just heading to HS. My sneaker interest at that rate was to grab the coolest pair I was allowed to get at the beginning of the year and beat those to hell, rinse and repeat. The art of the sneaker never really came to my mind. Also at that time I never thought I’d be a cigarette smoker but that changed to once In HS lol. Eventually fashion and art started to peak my interests. I started smoking Newport’s and caring about streetwear. I can’t remember when I originally saw this shoe but it was endlessly scrolling through YouTube I suppose and remember thinking to myself this is by far the coolest thing I had ever seen! A few years later, the second time I remember watching the vice doc about them and I from that point on I was dead set on owning a pair. That’s when I saw the price tag hahahah at the time I think stadium goods was selling them for a grand or 2. WAYYYY more money then I could spend on a pair of shoes at the time so the thought slipped to the back of mind for a while. Until actually I was watching @fullsizerunshow and saw @xdannyxbrownx rocking a pair couple weeks ago maybe. Now at this point in my i life I own 2 smoke shops and have come up a long way from the kid I was in HS so I went to eBay just to see what was there. And when I looked I couldn’t believe my eyes! A size 12 (my size) in mint condition with all the Tees and box everything! The price tag was steep but I contacted the seller immediately to try and make a deal and everything ended up working! Now that I’m older I can truly appreciate everything this shoe means. Every detail @ari put in the shoe, is pure genius. Two companies with similar logos taking the most and giving the least. It doesn’t get more pure then that. Especially something that will honestly never be created again.
