Because I didn’t have a good solution to my ‘preservation’ problem and was worried about my shoes crumbling away in a deep dark closet, I sold every single pair in this picture. Yes, the OG VI’s. Yes, even the Pigeon Dunks. Yes, even the DQM 90s. Every. Single. Pair. ⁣

The ones that I miss the most? The Infrared VI’s. My mom bought me Infrared VI’s for my 11th birthday and they were the first shoes I ever had any input on owning. I remember watching MJ torch the Lakers in the finals wearing the VIs. They were a *HUGE* deal to me. If I still had them they’d be in a box in my living room. I loved VI’s so much that – when my mom told me that her and my dad were getting a divorce – she immediately brought me to Footlocker and bought me the White/Maroon VI’s.⁣

I wish I still had my DQM 90’s – I bought the last pair directly from @123dortiz at Dave’s Quality Meats. Definitely one of the coolest skater/sneaker guys I’ve ever met. I went through a lot of turmoil deciding whether or not to sell those and when I did, I was happy with the amount I got, but I wish I still had the personalized box he tagged up for me. That was where I decided I didn’t want to be the last asshole on earth with a DS pair of DQM 90’s…with the proceeds I went out and bought a used pair so I could still wear them, but the midsole started crumbling shortly after my purchase. ⁣

And…I wish I kept those F&F Pigeons – I’d be able to sell those for a down payment on a house right now if I kept them. I didn’t *technically own those – I held and sold them for a friend – @danposite , who passed away a little while ago.⁣ ⁣
One more pair that I wanted to mean a lot to me, but didn’t – the N-Train pair of AF1’s…I loved that these came out right after I moved to Brooklyn and I loved that I bought them on Fulton street in Brooklyn, but the leather on them was terrible. ⁣

I guess you choose some choose but most of them actually choose you.
