(11/12) After a while I hadn’t heard anything. And I wasn’t seeing any activity in the system. I sent Jay a few texts and he responded but I didn’t hear anything all that conclusive. One of my friends said ‘send them an invoice’, So I created invoice #1 and Joanie responded with ‘we didn’t sign a service agreement ’. I was kind of at a loss with what to do next. ⁣

Almost 3 months to the day, I got an email from Joanie saying ‘you’ve had some shoes here for a while and we need to make room for new inventory, can you please come down and collect them?’ I called Jay and tried to figure out what this meant…did this mean our partnership was over? Once again, I didn’t get all that much confirmation one way or the other. So I just decided to pick up everything and cut my losses. ⁣

I took the next flight down, rented a minivan, arrived at the shop the minute they opened and started packing my things. ALL of my things. Products, shoes, everything. Any trace that I had ever even existed at the UN would soon be gone. ⁣

It took me about half an hour to pack with @pjeung23 help and I felt so much disappointment and embarrassment I could barely focus on the task at hand. I thanked @joaniebean for being a great hostess, encouraged @cease91 to get out and see the world (something we discussed) and told @twojskicks ‘thank you for the opportunity and I’m sorry that I couldn’t deliver’. I walked out the door, started the minivan and damn near started crying. Devastated. The bright lights of Vegas that originally enticed me gave way to the smell of piss and puke in the dark corners of the strip. I hated everything about Las Vegas at that moment. ⁣
