The irony is not lost on me. Remember, this is part of a pair I posted the other day that is kind of like the cornerstone of the first version of Jordan Brand athletes…Vin Bakers signature model the ‘Vindicate’ in all it’s Player Exclusive glory. So, once again, I bought a pair for $180 back in like 2015, then subsequently tried to sell it for nearly 3 years. I finally sold them for about $310, and with eBay fees and all, I probably just about broke even. …
So this was kind of surprising to see. A SINGLE SHOE for sale from this pair. Definitely not the pair I sold (based on the sellers story), but it’s kind of funny. I could barely get $300 for my pair – he’s asking $850 for JUST THE LEFT SHOE. I mean…it’s crazy, but it’s not THAT crazy. I don’t know what I’d do with just *one shoe of a super non-popular shoe and/or player. It’s just…kinda weird. Like what if you found a single Jordan PE in a Goodwill or something…you’d have to buy it, right? Even if it was not that popular of a model… Personally, I’d have a lot of trouble buying a single shoe…I think my OCD would kill me just owning one shoe. …
I mean, does a collector really *need* the other shoe? Or is it more just like a museum piece? A slice of history? It’s not like anyone is going to wear them, but why would anyone buy just *one* shoe? I mean, I get it if you only have one foot, but…I dunno. Just seems like a tough pill for a collector to swallow *unless it’s like one of the rarest pairs of shoes on earth. …
In any case, if you think I’m full of it, head on over to eBay and make homie an offer. I bet he’d be willing to let IT go for a bit cheaper than his asking price.
