For those of you who followed the story – I’ve found another pair, so that makes…what…13 pairs? (or is it 14? 15? I’ve lost count at this point). If you haven’t been following my account for long scroll down my feed a couple of weeks as I did a HUGE 9+ part write up on a legit check we did for someone who purchased a pair of these for $21,000 from @stockx that we believe to be fake. …
So I found this pair scrolling through @mercari yesterday and they’re actually not that bad…the excessive sole yellowing and the heel bulge are definitely obvious, but the sample tag actually looks pretty good IMO. I’ve seen plenty of sample tags without a shoe name and the font almost matches. The carbon fiber looks like actual carbon fiber, but…yeah. No. I struck up a brief convo with the dude but it didn’t go far. He sent me an offer of ~30% off. Asking price $1.5k, offer price $1,099.
…
So if you’ve been wanting to buy a pair for $25k, you can save yourself a few thousand and buy a pretty good looking pair on @mercari for only $1,099 that you can also wear 😂 …
Try to look at these objectively – if they weren’t one of the rarest pairs of Jordans out there, would they be a suitable fake? Honestly are they that bad? There’s no way in hell I’d spend more than $40 on a pair like this, but it looks like the quality is better on these than the majority of mass released Jordans coming out.
… What do you think? Bad investment? 😂
