(3/3) Once I got the confirmation from the community that they were authentic, I knew what I had to do. Back then, I had heard some rumors that Nike would be retroing the Paris, London, Tokyo and New York Dunk SBs, so I figured I’d get rid of them before the market crashed. Nike was already doing it with Jordans, why wouldn’t they be doing it with their SBs?
… So I threw them up on @ebay and they sold for $1400…a nice lil comeup for the time. Even with these horrible pics they sold at $1400…virtually unheard of at that time.
… Had I known those rumors were just rumors and they wouldn’t actually retro, I could be sitting on a small gold mine right now…a quick search shows the lowest price on the market is $30k for a DS pair nowadays…probably a cool $5k for the used pair…
… After the cash came in and I reveled in it for a bit, my girlfriend and I got married about a year later…we ended up going to Paris for two weeks…all on a pair of shoes 😂
