Even though I had my suspicions, I’m a professional, so I dug in a little deeper. I asked the customer if he had proof of purchase or anything else indicating they could possibly be real. He subsequently sent me a picture of a StockX receipt and sent me pictures of his emails from @stockx . Knowing that fake manufacturers have also begun replicating authentic receipts (and, of course, @stockx tags), I double checked the amount and the date sold against the record published on StockX’s site…the numbers matched. A member of my team also calculated AUS import fees and the rates and amounts matched. And, thanks to the @stockx data breach, I was able to double check that this users email actually existed in StockXs system…it all matches. This appears to be a real purchase from @stockx . Someone paid $21k for this pair of Jeter XI highs. … This is starting to get interesting…
