So I finally got around to seeing those Melo XIIIs in person and…they lived up to the hype. If you don’t know the story behind these…here’s the abridged version: @jumpman23 made a ton of these and planned on this big release for them called ‘the class of 2002’. Once the production facility finished, quality control department took a look and said something to the effect of ‘we can’t release these there are too many defects’. And having seen some actual pairs – they did a good job pulling the plug on the release. But being that it’s Nike and they know how to capitalize, they decided to scrap the big release and instead sell exclusively (for original MSRP) at @nike outlets. If anyone out there finds a near perfect/perfect/pristine pair – send them on over and I’ll grade them for free. You could be sitting on a gold mine as having the only pair of 9-10/10 Melo XIIIs in the world 😂
