So after I graded that pair of #sample#nikeairmax180 the other day – it got me thinking about an appropriate asking price on them. If you recall – I ran them through the Shoemetrics grader and stamped them a 6/10. I’ve been trying to figure out the markup based on grade, but there isn’t too much data to go off in the sneaker world, so I took a look at the sports card world…check this out: An 84-85 #mj#star#rookie#graded a 9/10 recently sold for $19.2k and the same card graded a 6/10 recently sold for $2.8k. Thats almost a 700% increase in asking price for 3 full grades.

So, what do you think a DS (most likely a 9/10) pair of those Air Max 180 samples could go for? Its not a ‘high demand’ shoe so…$200~$250 max? .
