I know everyone is on the #concord11 train right now, but 1s were pretty prevalent this past year and it got me thinking…what are my favorite ‘forgotten’ 1s? This is one of my favorite pairs…the ‘Tribe Called Quest 1s’ or the ‘ATCQ 1s’ or more specifically ‘The Low End Theory 1s’…the worst part about this pair is really the shape…a really thin midsole with a really high collar makes me feel like I’m wearing wrestling shoes. When these came out they came out of left field – I think it woulda been great if JB applied this same concept to other popular albums…instead it was a one and done and pretty much forgotten pair. They take the cake for my ‘underrated’ 1s of all time.
