So this is kinda my thinking behind sneaker grading…Imagine every single pair of Concord XIs that released in this last surprise drop came out with some form of ‘amputee Jumpmans’ (shout-out to @fbccbayarea for the nickname) or other quality control issues. Would you pay a few bucks extra for a pair without the arm missing? Would you pay a few extra bucks for a pair without the glue stains? What about a pair with perfect symmetry? How much extra would you pay? What if there were only one pair out of ten thousand that came with zero flaws whatsoever? For every hundred collectors out there that would pay $10 extra there’s gotta be ten collectors that would pay an extra $100. And maybe one collector that would pay an extra $1000. Why? One perfect pair out of ten thousand would be like hitting the sneaker lottery.
